Synopsis:
Rule number one: don’t fall for jerks.
Rule number two: don’t fall for your best friend’s brother.
Oops. Too late.
I’m Luciana Wright.
Everyone calls me Lucky, but when it comes to love, I’m anything but.
I have a long history of dating the wrong men.
You know the ones I’m talking about.
The beautiful, charming guys who are quite literally too good to be true.
The ones who are impulsive in love and prefer short flings over long-term relationships.
I’m talking about the jerks.
The guys who taste so good, but are so very bad.
After going through the most ridiculous breakup in the history of breakups, I thought I’d learned my lesson. I officially put myself into jerk rehab and committed to changing my ways.
But, let’s be real here, love is never that easy.
Especially when an arrogant, charming, he-devil of a sexy alpha man gets involved.
Aussie accent.
Tanned skin.
Muscular, surfer bod.
Gorgeous brown eyes.
And the kind of sexy smile that brings women to their knees.
Oh, did I mention that he’s also my best friend’s brother?
Yeah. This story, my story, it’s a real doozy you guys.
The day I stopped falling for jerks, I met Oliver Arsen—the biggest jerk of all.
My Review:

Before I get into this review, I want to shoutout my dear friend Ari because she raved this book to me and I know I’ll enjoy this duet.
Lucky Wright is unlucky in the love department. She had a lot of relationships and majority of the guys she dated are jerks. The jerkiest of them all is her best friend’s brother, Ollie Arsen. She tells her story via podcast which is interesting as it’s one of the social media platforms emerging lately.
I enjoyed the story a lot because Lucky is witty, energetic and has a great sense of humor. I will be tuning into her podcast as well because I find her hilarious. Due to her recent breakup, she needs to unwind. She travels in Australia to cover a story regarding a surfing competition in which she has zero knowledge on it. She also vows to stay away from wrong men but Ollie comes in the picture. Will she be able to resist him? The guy is charming and there’s so much angst between them. Like they’re both throwing fireworks. The sweet moments here are cute and I love Lucky’s letters to her exes. She does learn from her previous relationships. The last chapters gave me a heartache. Damn it.
It’s a cliffhanger so make sure you have the second book at hand. You’ll need it ASAP.
I LOVED this duet, but I love all their stuff. This was different than some of their other books, though. I liked how it was set up. You’re going to love the next book! I’m glad Ari shared this one with you!
