Summary:
Just friends.
We’re just friends.
No, really. She’s just my best friend…
Arizona Turner has been my best friend since fourth grade, even when we “hated” each other. We’ve been there for one another through first kisses, first “times,” and we’ve been each other’s constant when good relationships turned bad. (We even went to colleges that were minutes away from each other…)
Throughout the years, and despite what anyone says, we’ve never crossed the line.
Never thought about it.
Never wanted to.
Until one night changed everything.
At least, it should’ve …
Just friends.
We’re just friends.
I’m only saying this until I figure out if she’s still “just” my best friend…

I’d like to thank sis Pearl (Click her name to read her fab review!) for recommending me this book ages ago. I miss you sis! Let’s buddy read soon when you’re not busy 😉
Carter James and Arizona Turner started as enemies in their fourth grade then turned into best friends. I personally love this kind of relationships because the characters know each other so well. Such bonding creates a strong relationship. People thought they should’ve been dating but these two claimed they just have a platonic relationship and nothing more. In their college years, both of them are unlucky in dating life and decided — maybe they should help each other until they blurred the lines and realize they felt something more than just “best friends”.
OMFG. I regret posting my favorite books of 2018 early. GAAAH! This book gave me butterflies in my tummy. Carter and Arizona’s story is sweet and adorably romantic. The chemistry between them was so authentic. I’LL FIND MY OWN CARTER JAMES. MY GOD. Welcome to my list of favorite book boyfriends! I’m blabbering here because goodness, these two made me gooey. I can connect to the story so much because I do have a guy childhood friend (we started as enemies and became friends as we grew older) and we’ve known each other so well but our relationship remains platonic until now. Haha!
Joseph Discher may not be my favorite voice actor, but I love his narration in this book. He captured Carter’s character wonderfully. Jennifer O’Donnell is someone I look forward listening to more. She narrated Arizona’s point of view perfectly. Overall, this is an amazing friends to lovers romance.
This review makes me SO HAPPY! I read this one years ago and loved it. I’m always trying to get people to read it. 🙂 Great review!

Fantastic review! If I ever get enticed to read the book, though, it would be because of the cover. *wink* Ha ha ha!
