Nicholas Arthur Frederick Edward Pembrook, Crowned Prince of Wessco, aka His Royal Hotness, is wickedly charming, devastatingly handsome, and unabashedly arrogant; hard not to be when people are constantly bowing down to you.
Then, one snowy night in Manhattan, the prince meets a dark haired beauty who doesn’t bow down. Instead, she throws a pie in his face.
Nicholas wants to find out if she tastes as good as her pie, and this heir apparent is used to getting what he wants.
Dating a prince isn’t what waitress Olivia Hammond ever imagined it would be.
There’s a disapproving queen, a wildly inappropriate spare heir, relentless paparazzi, and brutal public scrutiny. While they’ve traded in horse drawn carriages for Rolls Royces, and haven’t chopped anyone’s head off lately, the royals are far from accepting of this commoner.
But to Olivia, Nicholas is worth it.
Nicholas grew up with the whole world watching, and now Marriage Watch is in full force. In the end, Nicholas has to decide who he is and, more importantly, who he wants to be: a King… or the man who gets to love Olivia forever.
Oh Royal Hotness. This is so adorable and I really enjoyed it! It’s been years since I’ve read Emma Chase’s books and I adore her Tangled series. Royally Screwed is a delightful and guilty pleasure start. It might not be as good as Tangled but I’m looking forward to the upcoming books in this series.
The story is about the Prince of Wessco, Nicholas Arthur Frederick Edward Pembrook and a commoner from Manhattan, Olivia Hammond. Nicholas is sexy, charismatic, cocky and arrogant. Often times he’s cheesy and boy his mouth doesn’t have a filter. There are times he annoyed me for being callous to Olivia. He has trust issues but his reasons are too shallow. I think he should man up and he’s too smart to jump in to false conclusions.I want to swat him so bad…stupid idiot. Olivia is witty, sassy, beautiful, and understanding. I love her for loving a man beyond his title and luxury. For her, he’s simply Nicholas and I find these two intimate with each other despite of the dramas they encountered.
Talking about the drama, there lots of it but it’s not over the top. It’s also a little cliche but I don’t mind. I can just sit back, relax and enjoy. The side characters are all interesting and my favorites are Prince Henry (Nicholas’s younger brother) and Ellie (Olivia’s younger sister). Ellie is sassier than Olivia and mostly she made me laugh in this book especially when she tackled the queen. Honestly, she’s a sweet girl. I can feel Prince Henry’s story is more interesting and I can’t wait to read his story! (which is next.) Also, Franny is SAVAGE on giving nicknames with “Bitch” in the end (She’s Ugly Bitch) haha.
Without any doubt, Emma Chase masterfully writes male perspectives, banters that will make you laugh out loud and swoon over sexy scenes. It’s a fun, easy and light read that you can devour in one or two sittings. I better catch up on her other books while waiting for Royally Matched.
