Summary (Goodreads):

From New York Times and USA Today Bestseller, Vi Keeland, comes a sexy new novel.

The first time I met Brody Easton was in the men’s locker room.
It was my first interview as a professional sportscaster.
The famed quarterback decided to bare all.
And by all, I don’t mean he told me any of his secrets.
No. The arrogant ass decided to drop his towel, just as I asked the first question. On camera.
The Super Bowl MVP quickly adopted a new hobby—screwing with me.
When I pushed back, he shifted from wanting to screw with me, to wanting to screw me.
But I don’t date players.
And it’s not because I’m one of the few women working in the world of professional football.
I’d date an athlete.
It’s the other kind of player I don’t date.
You know the type. Good looking, strong, cocky, always looking to get laid.

Brody Easton was the ultimate player.
Every woman wanted to be the one to change him.
But the truth was, all he needed was a girl worth changing for.
Turned out, I was that girl.
Simple right?
Let’s face it. It never is.
There’s a story between once upon a time and happily ever after
And this one is ours.

Being in the world of sports is not new for Delilah Maddox. Since she was young, her father who was a former football player and he takes her to games. Talking about sports is her passion and she loves her job being a professional sportscaster. She’s not fazed about men thinking women aren’t knowledgeable enough to talk about sports and she proved them wrong. Her personality reminds me of Renee Young who is a sportscaster on WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) — spontaneous, witty, charming and brilliant.

Things get more interesting when she had her interview with the Super Bowl MVP, Brody Easton who purposely dropped his towel in front of her while the camera is rolling. It’s a disrespectful move and Delilah handled it professionally though it was awkward and hilarious at the same time. The self-assured, smoking- hot, arrogant and confident quarterback just can’t stay away from her since and decided to pursue her. Delilah isn’t a type of woman who hooks up especially with a player, she wants a serious relationship and Brody will do everything to make her his.The sexual tension between them is intense and their sexy banters made their chemistry greater than ever. Apparently, these are mutual on not getting over their past relationships and that made it complicated.

I swift through this novel and I really enjoyed it. The main characters are likable and they have wonderful character developments. Brody might be arrogant, but he’s definitely a sweet guy especially when he visits Marlene on the nursing home while Delilah just screamed girl power throughout the book. Their relationship isn’t perfect but seriously, they’re such a great couple! The only thing that missed for me was Willow’s POV (Brody’s ex-lover). I guess just to spice things up. Honestly, I didn’t really care about her and her perspective is unnecessary. Despite of that, it’s still a great read and if you’re into sports romance, I recommend this book.
