From the New York Times bestselling author of the Fall Away series who never fails to deliver a “powerfully written contemporary love story…”*
Former tennis player Easton Bradbury is trying to be the best teacher she can be, trying to reach her bored students and trying to forget her past. What brought her to this stage in her life isn’t important. She can’t let it be. But now one parent-teacher meeting may be her undoing…
Meeting Tyler Marek for the first time makes it easy for Easton to see why his son is having trouble in school. The man knows how to manage businesses and wealth, not a teenage boy. Or a young teacher, for that matter, though he tries to. And yet…there is something about him that draws Easton in—a hint of vulnerability, a flash of attraction, a spark that might burn.
Wanting him is taboo. Needing him is undeniable. And his long-awaited touch will weaken Easton’s resolve—and reveal what should stay hidden…

Misconduct surely got my vote! I love how it deals with several topics like family issues, career paths, modern education, etc.. aside from its forbidden romance. It’s complex, entertaining, and well written. The characters got the angst and sexiness, which I also love.
Easton Bradbury is an intelligent, outspoken, independent and strong woman. She was a former tennis player and having a tragic past diverts her to a new career path by being a History teacher on a prestigious school. She wants to excel in her new job, start a new life away from the spotlight and live simply. As the heroine of the story, I admire her wits, simplicity, confidence and charisma. I love how she emphasizes the importance of modern technology and teaches her students to utilized it. She handles difficult situations in a calm way which makes her a classy and educated lady. There are moments she’s vulnerable but as much as possible, she doesn’t let it take over her life. She strives harder to become better. Under some circumstances, the hot guy whom she had a chemistry with on Mardi Gras happens to be a parent of one of her students..
Tyler Marek is a 35 year old successful businessman, father and an aspiring senatorial candidate. Despite of being financially equipped, he has a strained relationship with his 14 year old son. He’s determined to rebuild his relationship with his son and hopes that he will forgive him. This time, he’s struggling on prioritizing things and it gets more complicated when Easton, the woman he’s attracted to, is on the picture. I love Tyler Marek, he’s dominant, driven, intimidating, charismatic, and hot. His character development throughout the story is really good. Such changes makes him better at decision making and gives effort on what’s more important in his life.
The characters have a 12 year age gap, but I don’t mind. The romance between Easton and Tyler is sexy and steamy hot. I love the sexual tension and the witty banters. Their sweet moments are indeed passionate and it gave me butterflies. . Overall, I really love this book. The plot is well developed and I love that little twist in the end.
