Summary (Goodreads):

Is it possible to expose Chicago’s hottest player—without getting played?

This is the story I’ve been waiting for all my life, and its name is Malcolm Kyle Preston Logan Saint. Don’t be fooled by that last name though. There’s nothing holy about the man except the hell his parties raise. The hottest entrepreneur Chicago has ever known, he’s a man’s man with too much money to spend and too many women vying for his attention.

Mysterious. Privileged. Legendary. His entire life he’s been surrounded by the press as they dig for tidbits to see if his fairytale life is for real or all mirrors and social media lies. Since he hit the scene, his secrets have been his and his alone to keep. And that’s where I come in.

Assigned to investigate Saint and reveal his elusive personality, I’m determined to make him the story that will change my career.

But I never imagined he would change my life. Bit by bit, I start to wonder if I’m the one discovering him…or if he’s uncovering me.

What happens when the man they call Saint, makes you want to sin?

My Review:

Buddy read this with the lovely ladies, Pearl, Marla and Nicay .

If you come to think of it, the title of this book is intriguing for some romance lovers. I haven’t tried any Katy Evans novel and I’m glad I tried this one because it is a promising guilty pleasure read. It’s hard to write a review for this when all I can think is “Malcolm Kyle Preston Logan Saint is scorching hot.”  *fans self*

Rachel Livingston is a journalist at the Edge magazine (which is about to go its downfall) and is assigned to write an expose about Malcolm Saint. Considering he’s got a reputation in the eyes of many people. A successful, rich, attractive manwhore. It’s easy to judge people by their looks but once you get to know them, that could turn the other way around and Rachel didn’t expect it. During the course of interviews regarding his business and getting to know his personal life, it seems this man is totally different and she can’t help but be attracted to him.

“I’d say people respond to me on four levels and four levels only; they want to pray to me, be me, do me or kill me.”

Oh my damn Saint. All I could think is Malcolm Saint. Yes, he’s playboy but I love how persistent this guy is to Rachel. He’s not manipulative but exhibits dominance with utter respect. He doesn’t take advantage of anyone for his own good. He’s a gentleman and he gives me goo-goo eyes. When it comes to the chemistry between these two are absolutely intense.

“There’s never a right time for you to fall. It’s why they call it falling. It’s an accident. In one second. Just pray that wherever you land, you’re not there alone.”

When it comes to the chemistry between these two are absolutely intense. It screams HOTNESS. GET SOME ICED COFFEE OR JUST ANYTHING COLD. It keeps building up and oh my goodness. So. damn. intense. I don’t really have a problem with these two individually. Both of them are strong and independent.

However, I was looking for something worth the expose for Saint and I didn’t see that in this book. I want to get to know more about Saint and his family background. Another one, I don’t like Gina (Rachel’s Best Friend). I am so annoyed with her. She keeps on reminding Rachel to use her head when it comes to love life so that she wouldn’t up like an unfortunate one like hers. There’s nothing wrong to be concerned to your best friend, but whining about it is sickeningly annoying! Just stop keeping relating yourself to her. You’re both different. You give reminders and advises but it’s her final call.

Overall, this is a great start for the series and the writing style is good. I’m gonna read the sequel. I cannot stand this cliffhanger. I want more SAINT.
